Chef It Up 2 Go: Kids Cooking

Come learn how to cook tasty treats with Chef It Up 2 Go! We will be making something delicious each week in class like sweet cream stuffed strawberries, fresh pasta, broccoli bites, apple tots, basic garlic knots and much more. All ingredients are 100% peanut and tree nut free.

Creative Art Expressions

Creative Art Expressions is a class for children, K-6th grade, to develop artistic skills and techniques through the creative process by using art media. Each week, a theme will be provided for the students to learn about the history of classic and contemporary artists while using traditional materials (markers, pencils, crayons, pastels) and non-traditional materials (fabric, feathers, collecting items from nature). This creative process encourages students to expand their creativity by expressing their emotions and identity as an artist.

Theatrical Acting

Introduction to acting through games and role play techniques. Taught by Samantha Gelnaw Lang, profession actor whose credits include Silver Linings Playbook starring Jennifer Lawrence.

Theater Program

PRESENTING BEAUTY AND THE BEAST JR.

  • Auditions will be held at the JCC on Thursday, September 12 at 4:00 PM.
  • Rehearsals will be held at the JCC on Thursdays from 4:30 – 6:30 PM.
  • Tech Week will be held at show venue (TBD).

Girls On The Run

This 10-week program is accessible to all girls regardless of athletic ability or fitness level and considers the range of ages and varied experiences of participants. Physical activity includes strength and conditioning appropriate for this age group. The season culminates with the Girls on the Run 5K in Somerville.  The Registration Fee  is $145. Register online at  www.gotrcnj.org

This program builds confidence, competence, connection, character and caring and gives them a tangible sense of goal setting and achievement.

About Lawerence:

Lawrence has been a PTR certified professional since 2016 and brings over 8 years of teaching & coaching experience. From learning to hold the racquet the effective way to mastering strategies for game play, Lawrence has done it all. He brings an infectious enthusiasm to the court. His teaching/coaching style is all his own and is a proven method that combines very simple ways of teaching the technical aspects of the game. Movement is EVERYTHING in this sport and it’s for this reason that Lawrence has become a specialist in footwork training techniques which is something that sets him apart from many other coaches. Further, he’s spent many years as an apprentice to some of the very best tennis coaches in the central New Jersey area. This exposure to the training programs of nationally ranked tennis players is knowledge and information that surely will help you to RAISE YOUR GAME.
