Looking to get your middle school athlete an inside edge on speed, strength and conditioning? JFIT Jr. Athlete Academy is our sports performance program geared towards middle school athletes from grades 6-8. The program provides all the fundamentals of successful performance training in convenient two-day a week, 45 minutes-a-day sessions. These years are crucial for establishing maximum athletic performance and reducing future injuries.

Classes focus on instilling healthy fitness training habits in your child, so they can have the best chance to succeed in athletics and sports. The classes focus primarily on:

  • Bodyweight Strength Mastery
  • Athletic Positioning and Proper Body Mechanics
  • Balance & Coordination
  • Multi Planer and Functional Movement Patterns

Consistent Improvement in Performance. Our incremental approach to training makes it so your child will need to master simpler exercises before moving onto more complex ones. Therefore, your team will gradually increase strength without succumbing to exhaustion quickly.

Injury Prevention. Performance training in younger athletes increases the level of control they have over preventing injuries. Athletes with stronger, more flexible muscles and tendons are the least likely to get injuries from intense physical activity.

Building Lifelong Training Habits. Our program focuses on instilling fundamental training principals that can be utilized by all athletes and utilized as they continue to train independently.

The JMUDD Team has been participating in events since 2014. They started getting together doing fitness group classes including TRX, Boot Camp and In-Fit. This prepared them for obstacle races and trail runs. They have participated in the Tough Mudder, Spartan Sprint/Super/Beast, City Challenge, Chimney Rock Trail Run, Ragnar Relay and many more. Many of these races take place outside New Jersey. The purpose is to train for these challenging events, participate as a team, and to engage socially. Our team goal is to continue to find challenging events and to recruit new members who are interested in pushing themselves physically while having fun.
