Death of a Salesman is a 1949 play by Arthur Miller about Willy Loman, an aging, disillusioned traveling salesman struggling with the American Dream, his family, and his fading career, culminating in his tragic suicide. The play, a masterpiece of American theater, uses a non-linear structure of memories, dreams, and reality to explore themes of failure, identity, and the conflict between illusion and reality.

New York Times Critic’s Pick. A perfect 'Salesman,’ full of exquisitely calibrated performances. It is a triumph. My blood froze to ice.” - Helen Shaw, The New York Times

“★★★★★ Joe Mantello's shattering ‘Salesman’ is the best I have ever encountered, and the best I am likely ever to see.” - Adam Feldman, Time Out

Arthur Miller’s ‘Death of a Salesman has never before stung quite so acutely, or so beautifully. A haunting dream of a domestic quartet in Nathan Lane, Laurie Metcalf, Christopher Abbott, and Ben Ahlers.” - Ben Brantley

“Joe Mantello’s perfectly calibrated 'Death of a Salesman' lands like a haymaker to the temple. The central quartet weaves something devastating together, with lucid, relentless precision.” - Sara Holdren, New York Magazine
