Details
The Institute of Holocaust and Genocide Studies at Raritan Valley Community College will host an international Yom HaShoah (Holocaust Remembrance Day) webinar.
This online commemoration is taking place on Tuesday, April 14th, from 12 - 1 pm EST. Joining us are Mr. Jorg Domes & Mr. Ingo Sielaff from Borken (Hessen), Germany, discussing their research to uncover the stories of former Jewish members of their community and commemorating each individual with a Stolpersteine (stumbling stone) at their final chosen home in Borken. Mr. Domes and Mr. Sielaff published a book, Jewish Families in Borken until 1942, in early February 2026 in German & English, including all of their research. We will hear about their most recent Stolpersteine event in Germany this past September.
The RVCC Holocaust Institute webinar is free of charge and open to the public. Registration is required.
The event is being co-sponsored by the Jewish Federation of West-Central New Jersey; the Shimon and Sara Birnbaum Jewish Community Center; Jewish Family Service of Somerset, Hunterdon, and Warren Counties; and 3GNJ.
