Memorial Service and Candle Lighting with 3G Descendant Speaker, Elyse Wolff
Elyse's presentation will focus on her grandmothers' survival during the Holocaust, including time in the Satu Mare ghetto and multiple escapes from death at Auschwitz. Although more that half of her family perished, Elyse's grandmother and her sister remained together throughout Auschwitz and subsequent death march. She shared her story only once, to Elyse's 8th grade class, shortly before passing away. It is Elyse's mission and honor to continue sharing her grandmother's story of survival so that her resiliency will live on long after her grandmother's passing.
