Aphasia Communications Group at the J adler-aphasia-center-logo

The Aphasia Communication Group meets twice a month at the JCC for people with aphasia, a communication disorder that occurs usually as the result of a stroke.  Members practice their communication skills, meet others living with aphasia and learn about stroke and aphasia.  The group is sponsored by the Adler Aphasia Center.

The first several trial sessions are free and the Group fee is $10/session.

Aphasia Caregiver Support Group at the J

The Aphasia Caregiver Support Group is for family members of people with aphasia.  Caregivers receive – and give – support for living with the challenges of aphasia and learn about community resources.  The focus is on discovering resources to move forward in a positive direction.  The group is sponsored by the Adler Aphasia Center and runs concurrently with the Aphasia Communication Group (ACG).  You need not have a family member in the ACG to attend the Caregiver Group, which also meets at the JCC. There is no admission fee to participate in the group.

To register for either group, or for more information, contact Wendy Greenspan at 973-530-3981 or wgreenspan@adleraphasiacenter.org.
