Three's
|
A typical day in a three year old classroom is filled with activities that involve social interactions, pretend play and exercising cooperative skills. Our classroom is a busy place filled with “Centers” work time, ongoing projects; open ended art activities, sensory exploration and teacher led Circle Time round out our busy and fun filled days. Three year olds enjoy working and socializing together. Our classroom is set up by skilled, licensed teachers whose planning allows us to support children, through the discovery and problem solving process of our school day. Children spend time in their Learning Centers, which have been organized to stimulate discovery and children’s evolving learning. Children are encouraged to participate in Literacy, Math, Writing, Dramatic Play, Library and Art Centers that teachers have prepared with exciting learning materials. Children’s interests and their growing confidence is challenged by changing the environment to stimulate new learning that reflect children’s interests. Children will have the opportunity to express their ideas through painting, drawing and writing. They will explore words and print through storytelling, finger plays and books. Math concepts will be practiced with games, measuring, cooking, sorting and counting activities. We celebrate Shabbat each Friday with song, dance and challah. Our program celebrates our Jewish traditions and good values. Our Three’s curriculum includes swimming, gym and music as part of our program. Parents can choose half, full or late stay options for our three, four or five day program. |
