I have been in camp since I was 3 years old; first at a day camp, then sleep-away and then as a staff member. This will be my 13th summer at this camp, and before that I worked at another JCC camp. As you can see, I love camp! It has always been an important part of my family’s life. My husband also went to camp and worked at one for a large part of his life, and now my children are growing up at camp as well. Don’t be surprised to see me singing at Shabbat, having a cake fight, or dressing up as one of our weekly themes. I can’t wait to have a great summer with all of you!

My name is Lauren but you may hear me referred to me as “Panic” around camp. This comes from my last name, not my personality! I started working at Camp Ruach as the Transportation Coordinator 7 summers ago. After 2 years in that position, I became the Assistant Camp Director. I have a son Sam and a daughter Nikki who have both been coming to camp here for most of their lives. They, like I, love camp and can’t imagine spending our summers anywhere but Camp Ruach!! It is our "home for the summer."

Hi! I have been working at the JCC for 6 years. I teach kindergarten during the school year and I am the K'ton Unit Head at camp. I have 3 children of my own who have all attended Camp Ruach. My youngest still attends camp and my older 2 children are now counselors. When not working at camp, you can often find me running on the treadmill, sitting on a softball field or hanging at the outdoor pool. I look forward to another wonderful summer!! See you soon!
Gadol Unit Head – Sandi Arnold
I am the unit head for Gadol. This is my eighth summer working at Camp Ruach! I have two children, aged 11 and 13, who have gone through and loved the camp program. During the year, I am a 5th grade teacher at Eisenhower School in Bridgewater. I have been teaching for 12 years and have been working in camps since I was 13 years old. I can’t wait to spend another summer at Camp Ruach!

I have worked on Road Rulz for the past five summers. Besides working at the JCC I am an elementary school teacher at the Manville School District. When I am not working I enjoy both playing and watching sports. My favorite teams are the Yankees and the Giants. My other favorite pastimes include traveling, boating and spending time with my cat Chewbaca. I am really looking forward to another fun summer at the JCC.

I have been with the JCC since they opened their doors in 2000. I am an American Red Cross Certified Lifeguard Training, CPR/AED, and First Aid instructor and an American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor. When not at the JCC, I enjoy swimming, traveling, playing and watching sports and spending time with my family.

Hi, during the year, I work with children in school and during the past 5 summers, I have been here, at JCC Camp Ruach. You will see me every day in the office. Feel free to stop by and see what is in my candy bowl (and catch a little cool air conditioned air as well!)
Camp Nurse - Corey Schrier
This is my third summer at camp. During the school year I work as an elementary school nurse. I am also an EMT (Emergency Medical Technician) and a life-member of the Edison First Aid Squad #2. I have one brother who is also a nurse in an Emergency Room in Baltimore, Maryland. In my free time I like to read, and learn new sports like boxing, fencing and Tae Kwondo. I am currently, learning to play the guitar. I also like to spend time with my friends and family. I am looking forward to a happy, fun and safe summer.
