exercise-photoThe Shimon and Sara Birnbaum Jewish Community Center (JCC), located at 775 Talamini Road in Bridgewater, will be holding a Membership, Preschool, Summer Camp and After School Program Open House on Sunday, September 24 from 11am-2pm. The community is invited to attend.  JCC Staff will be providing tours of the JCC, and special one-day savings will be offered.  A new Star member can save up to $425. The Joiner Fee will be waived on all new JCC Memberships, representing a savings of up to $150. In addition, new members will receive two months free, with no monthly payment due until December, 2017. This offer is good September 10-24, 2017; offer applies to new memberships only and cannot be combined with any other offers.  The JCC Blaustein Early Childhood Center is offering a $100 savings on new child care and pre-school registrations through September 24, 2017. JCC Camp Ruach is offering $250 off new Camp 2018 registrations through September 24, 2017. [Families that have decided on a JCC Camp Ruach program for their child may register on line and do not need to attend the Open House in order to receive the savings.] The J-Crew After School Program will be offering $150 off a first time registrations for the 2017-2018 school year, and is waiving the non-member registration, offering an additional $100 savings. A JCC Star Membership includes use of the Indoor Pool, Summer Swim Club (open Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day), Fitness Center, FitGround Outdoor Training Area, Gymnasium, Unlimited Group Fitness and Small Group Training Classes (more than 75 fitness classes offered/week) for the membership year, and member rate for all other classes and programs -- all for one low price.  [The JCC also offers a Basic Membership which does not include the Summer Swim Club or Unlimited Group Fitness Classes.]  Individual and Small Group Personal Training Packages are offered. The JCC has indoor and outdoor pools with salt based filtration and offers the America Red Cross Learn to Swim Program.  The JCC is home to the Bridgewater Tide Swim Team that competes in USA Swimming.  The JCC also hosts the Rising Tide Special Olympics Swim Team and offers swim lessons for children with Special Needs. The JCC Blaustein Early Childhood Center offers programs for ages 6 weeks through Kindergarten Enrichment and offers open enrollment. Preschool and child care hours are 7:00 am. – 6:00 pm.  Year-round programs are available. Every classroom has a certified teacher with assistants.  Academics, swimming, physical education, Yoga, music and Jewish holiday celebrations are part of the curriculum and Enrichment Programs offered throughout the school year include Dance School, Karate, Art, Basketball and Gymnastics. JCC Camp Ruach is located on 14 acres at the JCC and offers programs for campers ages 15 months through 9th grade.  Registration is available for four weeks or more. Camp Ruach has three swimming pools – indoor and outdoor – four sports fields, climbing wall, bouldering wall, high and low ropes courses, mini-golf course, portable skateboard park, great indoor facilities including a gymnasium and much more. Activities include Swim Instruction and recreational swim, Karate, Archery, Zip Line, Sports, Tumbling, Arts & Crafts, Musical Theatre, Cooking, Weekly Entertainment and Special Events.  Road Rulz Teen Travel is open to Teens entering Grades 7-9 and Sababa is a program for campers in Grades 7 and 8 offering day trips and on-site programming.  The Leadership in Training (LIT) program is open to campers entering Grades 8 and 9.  Camp Ruach offers individualized programs for campers with special needs.  Camp Ruach provides a high staff to camper ratio. The J-Crew After School Program is open to children in Grade K-6.  Busing is provided from Bradley Gardens, Crim, Eisenhower, JFK, Hamilton, Milltown and Van Holten Schools in Bridgewater.  A variety of activities are offered including homework help, swimming, sports, Zumba, art, sports, cooking, games and yoga. Enrichment classes available for an additional fee include piano, mixed martial arts, nature and more.
