Bridgewater, NJ – The Shimon and Sara Birnbaum Jewish Community Center (JCC) in Bridgewater, NJ will be sponsoring its 15th Annual Golf & Tennis Outing on Monday, June 6 at Raritan Valley Country Club, Bridgewater. Proceeds from the Golf & Tennis Outing benefit The JCC Scholarship Fund and Senior Nutrition & Wellness.
The registration fee for a single golfer is $310 and the fee for a tennis player is $165 -- for registrations received by May 1 ($335 for a golfer and $175 for a tennis player after May 1). Single golfers are welcome and will be placed in a foursome. The golfer fee includes lunch, dinner with open bar, an awards ceremony, team prizes for the 3 lowest team scores and contests. Contests include Closest to the Pin, Longest Drive, Hole-in-One, Casino Hole, Closest to the Line and a putting contest. Hole-in-One prizes are provided by Bridgewater Nissan, Flemington Car Truck Company and Flemington Furs. Golf format is Scramble. The tennis fee includes dinner with open bar and awards ceremony. First, second and third place Tennis prizes will be awarded. Golfer check-in begins at 10:30am with a shotgun start at 12 Noon. Golfers will have time on the driving range and putting green prior to the round of golf. Tennis check-in begins at 12:30pm and Round Robin play begins at 1:00 pm.

Each year, the JCC awards more than $210,000 in scholarship assistance to underprivileged individuals and families so that they can participate in events and attend the Blaustein Early Childhood Center and JCC Camp Ruach. Funds also support services to children and adults with special needs and to seniors including a hot lunch, exercise, entertainment and socialization. Scholarship assistance is provided to all who demonstrate financial need, regardless of race, creed, or color.
