Artist of the Month

Marianthe Kappakas is an alumna of the Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC. Her continued studies at Pratt Institute,The Art Student’s League, NYC, as well as in Bogotá, Colombia, and Puerto Rico have served to chisel her talent in the field of art, in both visualization and interpretation.

Marianthe’s distinctive style focuses primarily on florals and foliage, rendered in oils and palette knives, executed in her unique modern Impressionistic mode.

Her painting, My Glorious Peonies, was awarded Honorable Mention at the 2012 Tinicum Arts Festival in Erwinna, PA. Secrets of the Forest was selected for inclusion in Erwinna’s Stover Mill Gallery’s innaugural exhibit entitled “Celebrating the Delaware Valley.”
