Swim Team Coaching Staff


Mike Yearwood

Mike comes to us with over 35 years of coaching experience at all levels of swimming, from high school teams, college teams, to large multiple site private clubs, and has a Level 5 ASCA rating. In his last two coaching positions, he was head coach and CEO of clubs with over 600 swimmers at 5 sites, and 350 swimmers at 5 sites. He has multiple National age group record holders, multiple U.S. National finalists, Junior National Champions record holders, a 2008 Olympian, state champions and record holders in Texas, Virginia, and Florida. His coaching philosophy includes promoting swimming for all ages as part of a healthy lifestyle, good sportsmanship in competition, team spirit, a strong work ethic and good work habits developed at an early age, goal oriented, and the joy of team camaraderie. He would like his swimmers to come to practice every day, eager to learn, swim, grow, compete and have fun. We know that he can provide that opportunity and leadership for our team.


Tom Flynn 

Coach Tom served 30 Years as a New York City Police Officer and with 30 years of competitive swimming experience, he took over the Bridgewater Tide age group program in 2002. Under his leadership the Bridgewater Tide has won 5 NJ-JCC State Championships. Coach Tom spent nine years as a coach for St. Benedict's Girls Grammar School Swim team and five years as Head Coach of St. Benedict's High School Swim team. In 2007, Coach Tom was inducted as the inaugural member of the Bridgewater Tide Hall of Fame. 


Craig Bostwick

Craig began competitively swimming at the age of 6. He swam at various clubs including Berkeley Aquatic Club and Elite Swim Club. He began coaching at the age of 16 at the Berkeley Heights Community Pool. Craig attended Boston University, where he was involved in the aquatic department as a swim instructor and head lifeguard. He graduated in May of 2010 with a degree in History Education.


Kristi Patane

Kristi began swimming at the age of 8 at the Cedar Hill Swim Club then decided to swim year round for the YMCA. She was a competitive swimmer through high school with the Scarlet Aquatic Club and Hillsborough High School. She attended Kutztown University, completed the Disney College Program during a semester and was a lifeguard at Blizzard Beach. Due to medical reasons, Kristi could no longer swim competitively and decided to start coaching at Cedar Hill 6 years ago. She has been a coach for Bridgewater Tide since 2009 and currently teaches at Greenbrook Middle School.


Mike Pestorius

Mike is an experienced competitive swimmer who has swum at the local, state and national levels.  He began swimming competitively at the age of 7 in Charleston, South Carolina.  He continued swimming throughout high school where he was a multiple state champion and All American.  During college, he was a 4 year varsity letter winner, record holder and national qualifier at the US Naval Academy. He spent 7 years in the Navy as a helicopter pilot and currently works at Sanofi-Aventis in Bridgewater, NJ.
