Through advancing competition each swimmer has the opportunity to develop their and the Tide’s fullest potential.

Pre-Competitive Program

Spring/Summer Session

  • Tuesdays and Thursdays, 4:45 - 5:30pm
  • Discounted Member Fee: $480 | Fee: $600

This program is a bridge from our swim lessons program to our Swim Team and is designed to help swimmers develop the skills necessary for a successful future in competitive swimming. The pre-team will focus on the mechanics of the four competitive strokes (freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly) in addition to starts and turns. To participate, swimmers should already have basic knowledge of all four strokes and be legal in at least two. This group will meet for 45 minutes twice a week.  Swimmers who are ready to move to the competitive team will be placed in a practice group if a spot should come available. Space is extremely limited and will fill on a first come, first served basis.

  • Instructor: Bridgewater Tide Coach Carole Webb

(Limited to 8 swimmers by assessment only. Please contact Carole Webb: cwebb@ssbjcc.org to set up an assessment. No prorating or refunds.)

Long Course Training

Long Course season is the Spring/Summer competitive season of USA Swimming, with all meets taking place in 50 meter pools. Long Course participation is encouraged for current Tide swimmers and mandatory for all National, Senior and Gold Elite Swimmers. The workouts will be a continuation of the Tide Fall/Winter training. Space is extremely limited and by invitation/tryout only. If you are interested in joining the Tide Long Course team, please contact Coach Rich for a tryout: rromero@ssbjcc.org.

The Long Course Training Spring Schedule will begin April 18 and run through the end of the school year. Long Course Summer training hours will start at the end of school and go through the beginning of August, depending on the dates of championship meets. Exact dates and practice schedule TBD.

Spring Training

Bronze, Tidal Waves Groups

Work with Bridgewater Tide coaches during the break between Short Course season and Summer League competition to refine your competitive swimming skills.  Geared towards swimmers who are legal in all four competitive strokes (freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly), this Tide program devotes time to refining each of the four strokes as well as starts and turns. High coach to swimmer ratio allows for individual analysis and attention. Build upon what you learned over the Winter and fine-tune your strokes to stay in shape and get ready for summer swim competition.

If you are interested in joining the Tide Spring Training program, please contact Coach Rich for a tryout: rromero@ssbjcc.org. Spring training will begin the week of April 18, exact dates and schedule TBD.
